GIORGIO MATTEOLI
He graduated in cello, recorder and chamber music at the S. Cecilia conservatory as well as a graduate in literature with a musical history from the University of Rome. In addition to having studied composition, counterpoint and orchestra conducting in the conservatories of Milan and Como, he specialized in performing the ancient repertoire, both with the flute and with the cello, collaborating with renowned ensembles and concert institutions holding recitals and concerts also as director orchestra in Italy and abroad (Croatia, France, Montecarlo, Spain, Albania, Hungary, Israel, Romania, Japan, Germany, Turkey …). Soloist for the soundtracks of the International Cooproduction “The Bible” winner of the American Oscar “Kable Ace” (music by E. Morricone and M. Frisina) and author of musicological articles for the ancient music magazine Orfeo, CD Classic, is currently Lecturer of recorder and ensemble music for ancient instruments at the Cherubini Conservatory of Florence and Founder of the Baroque Ensemble “Festa Rustica”. The Ensemble includes in its vast discography (which began with the complete concert for flute and arcs by F. Mancini, CD awarded in the USA by “Fanfare” magazine as one of the best classical music recordings in the world for 1995) also many premieres (Concerts for flute by Fiorenza, Sonatas for cello by Cervetto, Sacred Music for soloists , obliged cello and strings by Francesco Antonio Vallotti besides the complete sonata for recorder and Basso continuo by Haendel) and several engravings of baroque music published from the Agorà, MAP Edition, Da Vinci Classic, Amadeus Elite, ASV Gaudeamus record companies. Giorgio Matteoli has given masterclasses in Italy and Israel and is the creator and artistic director of the successful “Brianza Classica” chamber music festival, which has reached the threshold of the 17th edition.

PIETRO PARDINO

He was born in Cosenza in 1991. He began studying music and the accordion with Maestro G. Salerno at the age of 10. In 2007 he began studying the Bayan under the guidance of Maestro G. Scigliano, who allowed him to fully understand the potential and performance of this instrument. In 2014 he obtained the Diploma in the class of M° I. Sverko (Croatia) and in 2017 the II Level Degree with top marks and honors in the class of M° M. Gemelli at the “P.I.” Conservatory Tchaikovsky” in Nocera Terinese (CZ). During his musical career, completely focused on classical music, he then had the opportunity to perfect himself and participate in various seminars with the most famous and multifaceted concert performers and teachers on the international scene including: C. Jacomucci, R. Sviackevicius, D. Flammini, Y. Shishkin, P. Makkonen, G. Scigliano, M. Vayrynen, G. Hermosa, V. Semionov, A. Hrustevich, M. Pitocco, J.L. Manca, R. Ruggieri, F. Deschamps, W. Zubitsky, M. Bjeletic, A. L. Castaño. Winner of several absolute first prizes in national and international competitions, he played, both as an individual and in chamber ensembles, in Italy and abroad in renowned concert seasons such as International Accordion Week, Comites Basel, Fadiesis Accordion Festival, Ama Calabria, Cenacolo della Musica Catignano (PE), Festival del Mediterraneo, Lamezia Classica, Festival Contemporaneamente Santa Cecilia, San Giovanni Rotondo in Concerto, Macerata Opera Festival, Tropea Musica, Festival Internazionale R. Leoncavallo, Gir Basel, Stagione Lirico-musicale Teatro Boni (VT), Brianza Classica, Accordi[On] String Pif Castelfidardo, Primavera Musicale Roseto degli Abruzzi, Stagione G. Colafemmina, Valsesia Musica (VC)… In 2011 he performed in the Basilica “S. Anastasia” of Santa Severina (KR) in the concert in which takes part the renowned Moscow musician and composer V. Semionov. He performed, as the only accordionist, with the Calabria Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Maestro F. Arlia on the occasion of the premiere of the “Fantasia Religiosa sul Beato Pietro Paolo Navarro” by A. Barbarossa. He also played with the “Consonant Quartet” of the “Mihail Jora” State Philharmonic of Bacau (Romania), performing a program entirely dedicated to the Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla. In 2015 he played as a soloist, within the Mediterranean Festival, with the Calabria Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro E. Korkmaz (Turkey), opening the first opera-symphonic season of the “F. Lanza” theatre together with artists of the caliber of A. Bacchetti and G. Nova. Again as a soloist, in 2023 he performed with the Brutia Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro F. Perri, in “8 mm”, a production dedicated to the rediscovery of the music of Italian cinematography of the 50s, 60s and 60s. 70. He played in the first performance, within the Accordi[On] String section of the PIF Castelfidardo 2016 and accompanied by the “Gigli” quartet, “Canoni” for string quartet and Bayan, created for the occasion by M. Salamone, F. Fortunato and D. Cafiero. He held, together with the Bajan Trio and M° G. Hermosa, the inaugural concert of the International Accordion Week 2017, performing “SUA” as a World Premiere, composed for this event by M° Hermosa. In the opening concert of Fisv2019 he performed the world premiere of “Autumn Elegy” for Bayan solo by the well-known composer E. Blatti. Eclectic and versatile, he usually performs in multifaceted and very divergent chamber ensembles such as “Bajan Trio” (accordion trio), Duo Fuoco-Pardino (violin-accordion), Duo Pardino-Matteoli (accordion-recorders) with repertoires ranging from Baroque to Contemporary in a mosaic that opens more windows onto new and surprising musical territories where the accordion is moving with courage and creativity. Particularly dedicated to the development of new literature for the accordion and very inclined to collaborate with various composers, he has also premiered works by L. Bollani, R. Ruggieri, C. Chiacchiaretta, A. Biancamano and others.
Under the direction of Maestro Enrico Melozzi he played, in the first accordion section, for 100 Accordions Concert held in 2021 at the Sferisterio theatre within the Macerata Opera Festival and in 2023 in the Academic Hall of the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome. He completed his humanistic education by graduating in Law at the “Magna Graecia” University of Catanzaro and obtaining a Master’s degree and specialization in teaching students with disabilities at the University of Calabria, discussing a thesis entitled “Intellectual disability and inclusive music teaching”. Formerly teacher of the Academic Accordion courses at the “F. A. Bonporti” of Trento (Riva del Garda detached section), of Literature of the Instrument (II level Academic Diploma) at the “Tchaikovsky” Conservatory of Nocera T. and of the Pre-academic and Propaedeutic Accordion courses at the “S. Giacomantonio” Conservatory of Cosenza, currently holds the Accordion Professorship at the Secondary II grade School “T. Campanella” of Belvedere Marittimo (CS) as well as Artistic Director of the International Accordion Festival of San Vincenzo la Costa (CS).
