Giorgio Matteoli

Recorder, Cello player & Conductor

Giorgio Matteoli is a recorder player, cellist and conductor. He is a founding member of the String Quartet “The Palm Court Quartet” (with cross-over repertoire) as well as founder-director-soloist of the baroque ensemble “Festa Rustica”, among the most accredited vocal-instrumental groups on copies of ancient instruments of the scene national and international. He is also founding member of the “Mediterranean Baroque Quartet” (italo-israeli two recorders & continuo baroque ensemble). He is appointed professor of recorder and Ensemble Music for Ancient Instruments at the “Ottorino Respighi” Conservatory of Latina. He is the president of the Early Music Italy Association as well as the creator and artistic director of the “Brianza Classica” chamber music festival which has been taking place with great audience success for seventeen editions in Lombardy, involving many  municipalities in the provinces of Lecco and Monza Brianza.
